Margherita from Italy was born with a genetic mutation of the KCNQ2 gene, and epilepsy.
When we met Margherita at the age of two years, she didn’t like to stay on her belly, she was unable to sit by herself, didn’t crawl, and didn’t have much of motivation to move.
After six months of therapy at First-Step, she did her first steps of walking.
Two and a half years later and after 13 intense processes, Margheritta is walking independently, she is a talkative 4.5 years old toddler with so much joy, independence and happiness.
During the last process our goal was also to increase the level of cognition and the ability to play attentively, as the basis for improving linguistic capacity and functional speech.
